Spear of the Blazing Dawn
Spear enchantment
Attacks with this weapon gain +1 Strength, +2 Armour Penetration and Magical Attacks. Each successful to-hit roll with this weapon causes two hits instead of one.
Soit, selon les règles 2.0:
This means that, under normal conditions, a Highborn Prince will attack with this weapon with 4 attacks at Agility 8, Strength 5 and AP4; That is, except the turn when charged, in which case the prince will attack with 4 attacks at Agility 10, Strength 5 and AP5.
With every attack that hits, this will generate an additional hit. So, against normal R&F troops, the prince will normally land 3 hits, which then become 6!
WTF ????
One of the things I like the most is the sense of epicness that you get once you gather those 4 dice to roll: you and your opponent look yourself at the eyes, and then both shift your look to the dice; You both know this is one of the rolls THAT matters. Yes, in some cases you will have roll only 2 hits (which turn to 4) . But, what about those cases where you roll the 4 hits? How do you describe the feeling of being able to grab 8 dice for your to-wound rolls with your on-foot Prince? Epic. It is those moments of epicness (either epic fail when you roll miserably, or epic success when you hit and wound with all) that makes us love to play this game; in many other areas those moments have shift towards more “averages” but I find very positive to have one item that can bring back such Tales of Epic moments.
